ccurley a35a52db62 We now use bz2 compression in the first stage, have the run time 
option to check for bad blocks, and have a script that runs the entire
first stage.

Added another variation, other minor fixes.

ccurley 2a4d48f051 Went to bzip2 to compress the archives, for smaller results. Also some 
general code cleanup.

The function crunch will tar and BZIP2 the archives. This is cleaner
than the old code, and has better safety checking.

ccurley f660d5c473 Bad block checking is now a command line option (-c) at the time the 
product script is run.

Corrected the mechanism for specifying the default drive.

ccurley de9f1efb20 The zip disk archives are now in bzip2 format, so this script has been 
changed to reflect that.

david cd543ed437 Added pub_time and mirror_time to record when these things happen. 
Rearchitected the Makefile stuff, so we can run makefiles inside Python.
Update these fields during Makefile and Mirror. Closes #91002 and #91021.
Synched gnome-import with DataLayer.
update-static no longer runs make, since Makefile does a build.
Add some new errors that happen during publishing.
Removed user menu.
A bit of documentation on the document publishing/Makefile.py system.
Moved ERR_ constants into Globals.py.
Fix timestamp formatting bug.
Added alternating "banded" colors in tables with OddEven class and css.
Icons now available in three sizes.
Optional "block" layout for doctable, needs more integration still.
Show document translations, version, timestamp, etc. Closes #89723.
