I thought you guys might like to know that SGML is heavily
used in industrial and commercial applications. A typical
use is an on-line catalog, where tags delineate data such as
catalog number and enable companies to use catalog content
either in print media or on-line in automatic presentation.
Likewise, they can pull items out of their catalog and make
up a sale flyer by using database scripts. SGML, or rather,
DTDs at work.
