"http://babelfish.altavista.com/" target="_top">Babelfish</a> might be required), TLDP has its own HOWTO-become-a-guru doc, the <a href="http://tldp.org/HOWTO/Reading-List-HOWTO/" target="_top">Linux
Reading List HOWTO</a>. This list is what Eric Steven Raymond considers to be essential reading if you want to become a UNIX/Linux programmer. The list is revision v2.1 now.</span></li>
<li><span class="rss:item">Alavoor Vasudevan's <a href="http://tldp.org/HOWTO/C-C++Beautifier-HOWTO/" target="_top">C-C++ Beautifier HOWTO</a> v16.7. He also tries to keep the <a href=
"http://tldp.org/HOWTO/Kernel-HOWTO/" target="_top">Linux Kernel HOWTO</a> up to date. He sent in an update to his <a href="http://tldp.org/HOWTO/Vim-HOWTO/" target="_top">Vim Color Editor

<li><span class="rss:item">Did you know that Miroslav <span class="QUOTE">"Misko"</span> Skoric's <a href="http://tldp.org/HOWTO/FBB.html" target="_top">FBB Packet-radio BBS mini-HOWTO</a> contains a
section on how to <a href="http://tldp.org/HOWTO/FBB-11.html" target="_top">communicate with LinFBB in Serbian</a>? Check it out, preferably in the latest version, 1.26.<br></span>
<p>As usual, Miroslav's updates come in threes: you also get the <a href="http://tldp.org/HOWTO/LILO.html" target="_top">LILO mini-HOWTO</a>, v3.15, and the <a href=
"http://tldp.org/HOWTO/Linux+WinNT.html" target="_top">Linux+WindowsNT mini-HOWTO</a>, v2.15.</p>

"QUOTE">"nifty things"</span> you can do with Bash arrays, and much more!</p>

<p>Ismael Olea sent in an update telling us that the Spanish LDP folks are down because of a disk failure and they are working on fixing it.</p>

<h2 class="sect2"><a name="AEN63"></a>3.2. LDP author tools RPM packages</h2>
<p>Rodolfo J. Paiz <a href="http://lists.tldp.org/index.cgi?1:mss:5163:200311:ehngfbpnepphojhokgdn" target="_top">summarized</a> his findings on, what packages form parts of the authoring tools RPM
packages on his RedHat 9 based system. This is his <a href="http://apollo.simpaticus.com/other/docbook.packagelist.shrike.txt" target="_top">package list descriptions</a> page. On a Debian GNU/Linux
based system, the packages that provide for these capabilities can be installed from the linuxdoc-tools and the docbook-utils Debian packages.</p>

<h2 class="sect2"><a name="AEN68"></a>3.3. Linux+XFS HOWTO maintenance</h2>
<p>Russel Ingram, the maintainer for the <a href="http://www.tldp.org/HOWTO/Linux+XFS-HOWTO/" target="_top">Linux+XFS HOWTO</a> feels that the document is out of its useful life as several linux
distributions offer XFS at installation time. He plans to move the document to the unmaintained section of the HOWTOs and welcomes anyone who feels they can turn this back into an up to date and
