<LI>Get the <EM>Java CGI</EM> package from
<A HREF="ftp://ftp.orbits.com/pub/software/java_cgi-0.5.tgz">ftp://ftp.orbits.com/pub/software/java_cgi-0.5.tgz</A>.
(The version number may have changed.)</LI>
<LI>Unpack the distribution with this command:
<PRE>
gzip -dc java_cgi-0.5.tgz | tar -xvf -
</PRE>
(If the version number has changed, use the instructions from within
that distribution from this point on.)</LI>
<LI>Edit the <CODE>Makefile</CODE> you will find in the newly created directory
<CODE>java_cgi-0.5</CODE> as appropriate to your system.</LI>
<LI>As root, run <CODE>make install</CODE>.
This will compile the Java programs, apply your system-specific information
and install the various files.
If you want the HTML version of this documentation and an HTML test document,
run <CODE>make all</CODE> instead.</LI>
<LI>You should be ready to go.</LI>
