<para>There was some misunderstanding about the preferred docbook
version in this <ulink

But people... it is still version 4.2!</para>

<para>Conversion of docbook to pdf is not optimal:</para>
<para>There is a <ulink

going on what the best manner is to convert your docbook xml
document into pdf. A few different manners are mentioned. But there is
still no winner! That is normal, because it is also a matter of
taste.</para>

<para>Chris Karakas has made a new <ulink

of his lyxtox-scripts. These can be used when creating docbook sgml
documents with Lyx. </para>

url="http://lists.tldp.org/index.cgi?1:sss:9970:200603:bnenoijpheiifcjfnkkc">discussion</ulink>
is going on about two documents. Fran Literio is creating the "Bash
Scripting Introduction HOWTO", but is not sure if it worth the time
and energy because there is also the "Bash Guide for Beginners" of
Machtelt Garrels. After a few tips Fran is probably renaming her
document and converts it into a Bash Scripting Quick Start HOWTO. The
audience is different for both documents so it is probably worth
writing it.</para>

Guide</ulink> is updated to version 3.8. He find it mostly a bugfix
update, but with a fair amount of new material.</para>
