If you have already gotten installer and packages, you can start installation process. Simply run computer from CD or floppy. I am describing here installation wizard, which is suitable for most users.

There are several things you have to know before you start installation: You can scroll text using up and down arrow. Use the [Tab] key to move between widgets. A shell is available on 2nd through 5th console. Installation log is kept in /var/log/installer. You might view it with viif some messages scrolled up the screen. You can also have a look at 6th console (logs are there).

Soon afterwards booting up machine, you should see the bottom image:

If you do not need extra option, hit [Enter] key and allow loading linux kernel. Now you should choose language:

Simply hit [Enter] key again, and you go to main installer menu:
