Updated HOWTOs, FAQs and Guides David Braun published v1.5 of his Disk Encryption HOWTO, which has minor updates. In v1.1.6 of Daniel Nofftz's Athlon Powersaving HOWTO you'll find more info about commandline-hacks and the athcool tool. Claudio Cattazzo and Manuele Rampazzo rewrote the Italian HOWTO. The previous version was rather outdated, so they did a nearly-from-scratch job. Also refer to the Italian Linux Documentation Project over at PLUTO. The SSI-UML HOWTO was removed at the request of the author. Machtelt Garrels submitted updates for the Intro to Linux and Bash for Beginners guides. News in The LDP world New mirrors This is the list of mirror sites that joined us this November: in Bucharest, Romania, maintained by Alexandru Bradescu-Popa. in Seattle, Washington, by Joe Morthland. New Linux magazine: SSC Publishing, publishers of the Linux Journal, will launch a new monthly printed and online publication called TUX. It will address new Linux users. Over at you can read about their latest accomplishments, among others a translation of the Samba Authenticated Gateway HOWTO and the Complete System Performance Monitoring Guide. The Korean LDP chapter put up a gallery with images and documentation of their CodeFests on the site.
