The only other document he could find describing a similar work is the Kiosk-HOWTO, which is rather outdated. Emma Jane Hogbin proposed to write a HOWTO on Multi-lingual Searching With ht://dig. Machtelt Garrels submitted a document entitled Bash for Beginners. Eduardo Sztokbant sent in a proposal for a document describing HOWTO plug you USB Sony DSC camera into your Linux box. Simon Anderson put together a Linux Wireless Access Point HOWTO and would like to include the document in the LDP collection. Binh announced that the Linux Dictionary Draft Publication is ready for interested people to take a look at http://cvsview.tldp.org/index.cgi/. Updates HOWTOs We had a bit of delay, so here's to make it up to you: Saqib Ali updated his Apache-WebDAV-LDAP HOWTO, it is now at v4.0. Thorsten Kukuk updated his Linux NIS(YP)/NYS/NIS+ HOWTO to v1.3. Evgueni Tzvetanov renamed his first Oracle related HOWTO to include RedHat9. It is now called the Oracle-9i-RH8-and-RH9-HOWTO. Note that this is only a simple installation example. Bryan Henderson sent us v1.03 of his Linux Loadable Kernel Module HOWTO. We also got v1.4 of the Linksys Blue Box Router HOWTO, by Eric Steven Raymond. And Gerardo Arnaez sent in v2.2.2 of the Link-sys WPC11 Mini-HOWTO. The TimePrecision-HOWTO by AviAlkalay explains the accurate management of date and time, this document is v1.0.5 now. Al Dev submitted v6.1 of the Linux Kernel HOWTO. Emma Jane Hogbin summarizes the installation process for Advanced Configuration and Power Interface in her ACPI HOWTO. Guides Mendel Cooper sent in v1.9 of the Advanced Bash-Scripting Guide. Happenings in the LDP world Updated ldp-xsl stylesheets David Horton sent in an update indicating that he fixed the LDP XSL stylesheets to work with docbook-xsl-1.61.3. The updated version is available at tldp-xsl-30jun2003.tar.gz and David is interested in feedback. Fixed LDP CVS request form Sergiusz Pawlowicz announced that the broken LDP CVS account request form was now fixed. LDP Author Guide: New outline Emma Jane Hogbin felt that the LDP Author Guide was overwhelming to new writers, and wrote a new outline for the same. Re-indexed LDP documents M. Lee Cooper had suggestions for LDP study guides. Such a guide would consist of a reading list of LDP documents, HOWTOs and Guides, on each topic. Chris Karkas said that re-indexing the HOWTOs under various criterion would be of added value. However, a categorized list of HOWTOs is already available.
