binh d97dbdd433 You wrote "...(similar to the way in which Windows will install new
software to its own directory tree C:\Windows\Progam Files\"Program
Name")..." but the MS directory structure is actually C:\Program Files.
Program Files is not found within the main Windows directory, but as
part of the root.

Hope you don't think I'm being pedantic, but I just thought I'd mention
it. :)

Cheers,
Gareth Williams

binh 4552949f91 ready to publish :)
I'm going on holiday to Europe on (25 June) for a month
(back on 26 July) so if you would like to change
anything in the doc's you can do so without consulting
me. Also, note that there is now a "dict" format for
the Linux Dictionary available :)

Thankyou,
Binh

The sentence,

'If you typed ls and the shell looked for the fake program in your home directory before the real program in the /bin directory, what do you think woul dhappen?'

contains an error and I beleive it is meant to be,

'If you typed ls and the shell looked for the fake program in your home directory before the real program in the /bin directory, what do you think would happen?'

As well,

'If you can log into a machine, it allows you to run a graphical application on it, unlikt Telnet, which requires users to have an understanding of the X authentication mechanisms that are manipulated through the xauth and xhost commands.' I beleive is supposed to be

'If you can log into a machine, it allows you to run a graphical application on it, unlike Telnet, which requires users to have an understanding of the X authentication mechanisms that are manipulated through the xauth and xhost commands.'

Perhaps it should be ..."is intended to discuss the"...

In proc.html (1.10), under IP fragmentation settings,
is it thresh or trash?

In proc.html (1.10), under /proc/sys/net/ipv4/conf,
it says "one directory calls all."
perhaps it should be "one directory called all."

And finally, in the /mnt chapter, you said that if fsck is being run,
that the filesystem has to be read-only. How does fsck fix anything in
read-only? Or does it act through /dev/ ?
